One-Week Website Design Process
How do you get an entire website built in one week?
I use a streamlined, proven framework that condenses a typical 3–6 month process into just one week. With 6+ years of experience designing strategic websites, I’ve fine-tuned the process to deliver a fully customized, high-converting site without dragging out the timeline.
What’s included in the One-Week Website Design?
Up to 8 custom-designed pages (Home, About, Services, Contact, Blog with 3 posts, plus 3 additional pages)
A personalized website strategy
Foundational SEO (keyword research, meta titles, descriptions, and best practices)
A library of optimized, royalty-free stock photos
Mobile-friendly design and accessibility updates
Connection to Google Analytics and Search Console
30 days of post-launch support
A full tutorial library so you can manage your website with confidence
6 months of traffic and keyword analytics reporting
Is there homework?
Yes, but I make it simple and organized. You’ll receive:
A pre-project questionnaire that helps me understand your business, audience, and goals
A Google Drive folder with a checklist of what I need from you (branding, images, copy)
Tips, resources, and content prompts to make gathering materials easy
Do I have to write my own website copy?
Website copy isn’t included in the base package, but you have options:
Use my Website Content Generator to write your copy in minutes.
Add professional copywriting (via my in-house copywriter) for an additional fee.
What pages are included in the design?
Your site includes up to 8 custom pages. Additional pages can be added for an extra fee.
Are we on a call the entire time?
No, I design independently during your week. You’ll get updates and requests for feedback throughout the week (especially on Thursday and Friday) via email or text.
What platform do you use?
Squarespace is my go-to platform for its flexibility, SEO features, and ease of use. If your current site is on Squarespace, I can update it directly. Otherwise, I’ll create a new account for you.
If you want to use a different platform, let’s chat about it!
Can I actually launch my new website when you’re done?
Yes! Your website design (except edit requests) will be finished on the Friday afternoon of your Design Week. Once your website is ready, I’ll connect your domain and set up everything for launch.
If you wan to launch at a later date, I can help at any time during your 30 day support window or provide instructions for launching later.
What kind of support do I get after my Design Week?
You get 30 days of support for small tweaks and questions, plus a 6-month analytics report to track your traffic and search results.
What if my website isn’t ready after my Design Week?
In the 30+ websites I’ve designed using this process, it’s never happened! If needed, I’ll wrap up any final touches the following morning.
How far in advance should I book my Design Week?
Most clients book 4-6 weeks ahead. This gives you time to complete pre-work and gather photos or copy.
If you want to launch sooner, I may have availability.
What if I don’t have my photos or copy ready?
I create a library of royalty-free stock photos to use on your website, which means you only need to share a headshot.
If your copy isn’t ready, we can use placeholder text, but for the best results, it’s worth rescheduling.
Can you add extra pages beyond the included 8?
Yes! We can add extra pages for an additional fee or book additional time to expand or update your site in the future.
Do you design e-commerce or membership sites?
I can add a simple shop or integrate with a membership platform, but complex e-commerce or course sites may require a custom quote.
Can you migrate content from my old website?
Yes. I’ll transfer your existing copy and images where possible, but I always recommend a fresh layout for better strategy and design.
If you have an existing blog, I will migrate it (if possible) and style up to 10 posts. For some platforms, posts must be added manually. If that’s the case for your website, I will copy and style up to 10 posts. Other posts can be added for an additional fee, but will occur outside of your Design Week.
Will I be able to edit my site myself?
Absolutely! You’ll get a custom tutorial video plus access to my full tutorial library.
Do you set up SEO for me?
Yes. Every Design Week includes foundational SEO: basic keyword research, titles, descriptions, and settings optimized for Google.
What is not included in the One-Week Website Design?
Logo or full branding packages (but I can provide a simple style guide)
Extensive copywriting (available as an add-on)
Complex e-commerce or membership site setups (custom quotes available)
What is the investment?
One-Week Website Design is $4500.
Website Refresh Sessions
How do I know which type of Refresh Session is right for me?
90-Minute Refresh ($350): Perfect for minor edits, a quick SEO tune-up, or refreshing 1 page.
VIP Day ($1000): Great for larger updates—design overhauls, 1–2 new pages, or platform upgrades.
What’s included in a Refresh Session?
Every Refresh Session is designed to maximize impact within the time booked. That means that prior to your Refresh, I create:
Stock image curation (if you don’t have enough photos)
An accessible color palette update (ensuring WCAG 2.0 AA compliance)
Basic keyword research to improve your SEO
How does a Refresh Session work?
You’ll get:
A pre-session questionnaire to share your goals and requests
A Google Drive folder to organize your copy, branding, and images
A prioritized task list we’ll finalize together
On the day of your session, I’ll work through your list. You’ll need to be available for feedback throughout the session (by email or text) so we can stay on track and make the most of our time.
What can we work on?
SEO updates (keywords, titles, descriptions, fixing errors)
Design refreshes (fonts, colors, layouts)
Layout updates for 1 page (90-minute session) or full-site refresh (VIP Day)
What website platforms are included?
Squarespace, Wix, Showit, Kajabi, Webflow, and WordPress (Divi or Elementor).
Will I be part of the session?
If you choose a 90-Minute Refresh, it’s your choice! You can join me live on Zoom for real-time feedback or let me handle it behind the scenes, checking in with updates throughout the session.
If we are doing a Refresh VIP Day, we can get on a Zoom call as needed, but I’ll spend most of the day working behind the scenes.
Can I get your opinion on my website before I schedule?
Yes! Submit your site for a free 15-minute video review.
How soon can I schedule a Refresh?
I typically have availability within 1–2 weeks.
What can’t be done in a Refresh session?
A full rebrand or major platform switch is best suited for a One-Week Website Design.
Can you help me choose which tasks to prioritize?
Absolutely. We’ll create a clear, prioritized plan before the session.
Do you provide a report of the changes made?
Yes! After each session, I’ll send a recap of what we accomplished and next steps.
What if I need ongoing tweaks after the session?
If you need more edits right away, I recommend booking a second Refresh VIP Day. If you want to make smaller updates in the future, you can book time with me hourly.
SEO, Accessibility & Strategy

Keyword research for your business and location
Optimized meta titles and descriptions
Image optimization (names and alt text)
Google Analytics and Search Console setup

Do you provide advanced SEO services?
I focus on foundational SEO for service-based websites. For advanced strategies (like backlink building), I recommend my SEO partner, Brittany Herzberg.
Do you build websites with accessibility in mind?
Yes! Accessibility is built into every project I design. I follow WCAG 2.0 AA guidelines for color contrast, text readability, and navigation. I ensure buttons and links are clear, images have descriptive alt text, and layouts are mobile-friendly so your site is easy for all visitors to use.

About Samantha & Lemon and the Sea
Who will I be working with?
When you work with Lemon and the Sea, you’re working directly with me, Samantha Mabe. I’ll be the one creating your design, managing your project, and communicating with you every step of the way. You won’t be passed off to a team of junior designers—I’m personally invested in making sure your website not only looks good but also works strategically to bring in clients.
What makes you different from other website designers?
I specialize in working with holistic health and wellness professionals, which means I get your world. I know how to highlight your expertise and create a site that feels like your practice—inviting, trustworthy, and easy for clients to navigate. My process blends strategy, accessibility, and SEO with clean design, so your website works as hard as you do (without you needing a tech degree).
How did you get started in website design?
I actually started out studying architecture, but I found myself drawn to design that combined creativity with strategy. Over time, I shifted from designing buildings to designing websites that help people grow their businesses. I love the problem-solving side of web design—figuring out how to take all the pieces of your brand and create something that feels like you while guiding clients to take action.
What’s your design style or philosophy?
I believe your website should feel like walking into your practice—welcoming, professional, and perfectly aligned with your brand. My style is clean, approachable, and strategic, with plenty of breathing room so your content stands out. I focus on creating sites that are not just pretty, but functional, accessible, and built to bring in leads.
Where are you based?
I’m based in Richmond, Virginia, but I work with clients all over the U.S. (and beyond). Thanks to Zoom, email, and my streamlined process, working together feels simple and collaborative no matter where you are.
Can I hear more from you before working together?
Absolutely! You can listen to my podcast, Elevate Your Practice, where I share website and marketing tips tailored to health and wellness professionals. I also share behind-the-scenes insights, design tips, and free advice on Instagram.
