When Cheryl Pallant, an award-winning author, poet, energy healer, and workshop leader, reached out about updating her website, she knew she needed a site that could reflect the full depth of her work—without feeling cluttered or overwhelming.
Her WordPress site was outdated, and making even the simplest edits felt like a chore. Plugins were breaking, and she was told she'd need to switch templates just to make updates—something she didn't have time or capacity to manage on her own.
She’d worked with me before on a 90-Minute Refresh to improve her existing site, but this time, Cheryl was ready for a full transformation. She wanted to move to a platform that was easier to use, elevate her design, and organize her services in a way that made sense to new and returning visitors.

Our goal for Cheryl’s One-Week Website Design was to move all of her content from WordPress to Squarespace 7.1 while making her site feel peaceful, easy to navigate, and aligned with the essence of her work.
During the prep phase, we focused on streamlining her pages and selecting a soft, spacious color palette to keep things feeling grounded and calm—especially important for someone offering energy healing and creative workshops.
Cheryl wasn’t sure what her brand was at the start, but by the end of the process, we’d crafted a design that felt like her: expansive, approachable, and full of quiet power.

What We Built:
New Squarespace website using a custom layout and refreshed color palette
Pages included: Home, About, Healing, Coaching, Workshops (with 4 workshop pages + registration), Contact, and a Books section with individual pages for each published work
Imported blog content from WordPress and helped her restart consistent blogging after a 5-year break
Set up workshop registration and moved her email list to Mailchimp
Refreshed logo design and created a curated stock image library
