The Best Footer Designs for Health & Wellness Websites

When you're putting together a website, the footer is often an afterthought. But don't underestimate this little section at the bottom of your page! A good footer can really tie your site together, giving visitors quick access to important info and links. For health and wellness websites, having a well-designed footer is key. It helps your visitors find what they need—like your contact details, services, and social media links—without having to search all over. Plus, it's a great way to leave a lasting impression and encourage people to take that next step, whether it’s booking an appointment or subscribing to your newsletter.

What to include in your footer

When designing your website’s footer, make sure to include:

  • Logo or business name

  • Links to main website pages (these should appear in the same order as on the main menu

  • Social media links (either text or icons)

  • Contact information including email, address, phone number, or link to contact page

  • Newsletter opt-in form

  • Copyright information

  • Link to policies

Should you include your Intsgram feed in your footer?

This is mostly a personal preference, but my decision to include the Instagram feed (instead of just a link) comes down to a few things:

  • is it regularly updated?

  • is it relevant to the services you offer?

  • if someone leaves your website to go to Instagram, is your profile optimized to engage them and get them to follow you?

If all the the items above are true, then feel free to includes your IG feed in your footer. It can be a great way to add more visual interest and break up text links.

Tip: always make sure you feed on mobile includes no more than 4 posts to avoid endless scrolling. You can add the code below to your Custom CSS to make sure.

When you have a website with only a few pages, your footer design will be 3-4 columns across with a few links in each. Even in the simplest design, you should include elements that reflect your brand, such as your logo or a graphic. You can also include your Instagram feed if you update it regularly and want to grow your following.
