The Challenge:
Leak Locaters is a new business in Portland, Oregon. They launched with a DIY website that was “missing jazz hands” and the founders did not have the time or skills to create a website that would stand out from all the other boring sites in their industry. The website felt “bland and lifeless and doesn’t capture our brand or personalities.”
THE DESIGN PROCESS:
Jennifer reached out to me about designing her website and decided that I has more experience and fit her design aesthetic better than the other designers she talked with .
After a short strategy call, we scheduled the VIP Day and Jennifer completed all the pre-work, including gathering copy and images.
They wanted a website that was “SEO friendly” and that would “build customer awareness around our service, water conservation and the industry.” The design would be clean, creative, and bold.
Phase 1: Prep
Based on the Leak Locaters brand design and inspiration, I created a website strategy guide that included a moodboard to direct the project.
Phase 2: Propose
I also created a mockup of the homepage and used Jennifer’s feedback to make some small adjustments before jumping into Squarespace to develop the entire site.
Phase 3: Produce
The final design is a bold, captivating and SEO-optimized website that makes it easy for customers to find out exactly what they need and then book their service.
