Use Ubersuggest’s SEO Audit for an SEO Boost

Today I'm sharing one of my favorite tools with you!

I've talked about the Ubersuggest Chrome extension before because it's great for researching keywords and seeing how many people are searching for that term, but they also have a free SEO Audit tool.

I use this (the paid version with all the details) for my clients who work with me to improve their SEO and bring more traffic to there websites and now I'm sharing it with you.

They allow one free use per day and will crawl up to 150 pages of your website.

So if you're confused by SEO, not sure where to focus your time on making improvements to your website, or just want to see how you rank, this is the perfect place to start.

Here's what you'll see in the Ubersuggest SEO audit

On-Page SEO Score

Your SEO score out of 100 based on the results of the audit. The goal is that over time your score will improve as you make edits to your website.

Pages Discovered

This shows you how many pages are on your website, which are accessible by search engines and which might need to be checked. (I always have 1-2 pages being blocked from search engines because they contain my brand info or opt-in confirmation information.)

SEO Issues Detected

This should you the total number of issues found on your website with details about each.

SEO issues might include:

  • Pages with a low word count

  • Page with duplicate meta descriptions

  • Pages with duplicate

  • Pages blocked from appearing in search engines

  • Pages without an H1 heading

  • Pages with no meta description

  • Pages with a

  • Pages with a poorly formatted URL for SEO (I usually ignore this one)

Once you see what issues your website has, you can get into the details of which pages are affected and how you can fix them.

Site Speed

This tells you:

  • How fasts your site loads. The ideal time is less than 2.5 seconds.

  • The total time the site is blocked from mouse clicks. You want your site to be usable as quickly as possible.

  • The visual stability, or how much the layout moves when loading. This should be as close to 0 as possible.

You can toggle between desktop and mobile for this metric to see how they compare. Desktop is always going to be faster, but you want your mobile to also be quick to load.

How do you fix your website seo after the audit?

Now that you know how your website is doing and what issues are impacting your SEO, it's time to take action.

You have a few options:

  1. Go through the report section by section and make changes to your website to fix the issues.

  2. Hire me for a Refresh Session and hand it over to someone who knows how to fix all these issues and can get it done fast. I also make sure you're hitting the other areas that can affect your ranking like image optimization, accessible color combinations, and legible fonts.
