If you need a website that helps you serve well

I'm on-board for that!

I love working with creative women with a heart to serve. It doesn't matter is you are in a "creative" industry as long as you're willing to think about the box and push past what's "normal." I've worked with wedding professionals, interior designers, authors, bloggers, accountants, dance instructors, and even an agronomist and I've loved them all!

Most days you'll find my hanging out in my office surrounded by well-worn books and my dog, Gambit, and supplies left over from a million design projects.

My evenings are for cooking, catching up on all the shows we missed on, and chilling with my biggest blessing - my husband.

I am passionate about helping creative women serve well by giving them websites that help them run businesses that support their lives.

Let's work together to create a website that is true to you.

Here's My Story

I never intended to start a website design business. I’ve always been a combination of creative and practical - rearranging the furniture in my bedroom was a frequent activity - so I decided to pursue a career in architecture.

2008

I graduated from high school and started studying Architecture at Clemson University. I decided to minor is Psychology (which parents did not understand) because I loved learning about how people think and interact with the world. I loved spending time in the studio designing, surrounded by friends and creativity.

2014

As it often does, life happened. My husband took a job six hours from where we were living and I had to find a way to make a living in our new city so I could join him. Because I was always reading blogs and doing DIY projects for our apartment, I decided to start a blog (my second - the first had one post about my review of Romeo and Juliet). I loved the idea of creating a little extra income by sharing my projects online (I clearly had no idea how making money from blogging worked).

2012

After finishing my undergrad degree, I knew that I couldn’t go right back to school. Instead, I decided to apply for internships and get some experience, but I never made it past the interview stage. Eventually I found a position working with a small family-owned business in my home town, where I was able to put my design skills to use in a variety of ways.

March 2015

Eventually, after six months of living apart, I decided that it was time to join my husband in Richmond, VA even though I didn't have a job yet. I started freelancing for the company I had just left and researching how to make money online. In a small apartment with no room for a workshop, I knew I couldn't keep up a DIY blog, but I started sharing all kinds of posts - recipes, design, home decor.

August 2015

Over time, I learned - from webinars, reading other blogs, and trying things out - how I could turn my little blog into a real business by offering graphic design services. In the summer of 2015 (right before I left for a week-long vacation with my family), I got my first inquiry from someone who was interested in a logo design. That one didn't work out, but I was hooked. I knew that I could turn my skills and passion for helping other people build businesses that supported them into something that could have real impact.

2016 and beyond

Ever since, I've been working hard to turn this little business into something that can help support my family and serve other creative women as they grow their own business.

As I continue learning and growing, I'm falling more and more in love with being a small business owner and being able to help others do the same. I know that each one of us is here for a reason and I love getting to be a part of businesses that are having an amazing impact.
